Frank J. Zamboni & Co.
Inc. has been producing Zamboni ice
resurfacing machines in Southern
California for nearly half a century.
The machines are built by hand, one at a
time and shipped to customers around the
world.
Pictured above in front of the factory
in Paramount, California, are machine
No. 6,000 (a Model 500 at left), sold to the Detroit Red
Wings, and the very first Zamboni
machine, the Model A (at right).
Now completely restored, the
Model A is on display (between special
events) at Paramount Iceland, a a few
blocks away from the California factory.
The facility in Paramount, CA
manufactures the Model 100, Model 545,
Model 552 and the Model 700 machines.
The Zamboni Company has a second
facility (shown below, right) in
Brantford, Ontario (Canada).

The Zamboni Company has
maintained a Canadian operation since
1967. Brantford, Ontario, is the home of
"The Greatest Hockey Player Of All
Time," Wayne Gretzky, as well as
the Canadian home of the "Coolest
Machine On Ice," the Zamboni ice
resurfacer.
The Canadian facility houses
48,000 square feet of Zamboni
manufacturing and the plant is busy year-round.
The models produced in
Brantford include the Model 525, Model
445 and the Model 200.

The Canadian Home of Zamboni
allows the Company to maintain a strong
presence in the country that invented
the game of hockey, and continues to be
the largest market for ice resurfacers
in the world. Canada's "national
sport" of hockey is enjoyed
throughout the country, which boasts
thousands of ice rinks.
Zamboni has become the standard
of excellence for municipal rinks and
NHL arenas alike. In 1999, two new
Zamboni resurfacers proudly became a
part of the new home of the Toronto
Maple Leafs, continuing the Zamboni
legacy. Serial #306, an F Series machine
that was delivered to the Toronto Maple
Leafs in 1962 is pictured above.
In 1999, Frank J. Zamboni &
Co. Inc. celebrated its 50th
Anniversary.
