Electric Controls:

Sevcon PowerPak® controls have been proven in applications throughout the world.  Improved drive and control functions from MOSFET technology.  On board diagnostics provide:

• enhanced troubleshooting capability with fault and service logs
• vehicle management functions including Battery Discharge Indicator (BDI), machine “real-time” status and testing via optional handset calibrator
• motor brush wear sensors

 

Battery and Charger:

510 A/H - Standard. Capable of handling most single pad facilities schedules on a single charge. Microprocessor controlled chargers for enhanced battery life.  

600 A/H - Optional.  Extends the machine's resurfacing performance

 

Drive Train:

Four-wheel drive. Rugged Spicer axles have high capacities. Full floating rear axle. General Electric 17.5 HP electric motor provides superior on-ice power even at low speeds.

 

Hydraulics:

8 HP electric motor with programmable step-ups drives the double-pump. Separate pump sections for the vertical and horizontal augers provide strong conveyor performance. Conveyer augers operate at full speed, even when slowing the vehicle for corners. High quality 10 micron filter.

 

Construction:

Strong 2" x 5" all-welded structural steel tubing Zamboni chassis. High quality primer used throughout. Rust-free polyethylene ice making water tank with easy access cover is standard.

Human Engineering:

Simple to drive. Easy to operate. Meets or exceeds A.N.S.I. safety labeling requirements.

 

Facility Engineering:

Zamboni has the tightest turning radius in the industry. Snow tank design offers a lower height dumping flexibility.
